Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) and Rep. Tim Ryan (OH-13) commended the Administration's support for a cash payments for working Americans, which the two Congressmen proposed last week. The current Ryan/Khanna plan, the Emergency Money for the People Act, would provide a monthly check for between $1,000 and $2,000 to every American who earned less than $130,000 last year.

Khanna, Eshoo, and Cohen penned a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo with more than 60 Members of Congress urging the Trump administration to take immediate action to oppose the Israeli government's acceleration of home demolitions and displacement of Palestinian communities in the West Bank. Writing to Secretary Pompeo, the letter requests the State Department to examine Israeli compliance with the requirements applied by the Arms Export Control Act in order to ensure that U.S.-supplied equipment is not being used to destroy Palestinian homes.
Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) and Rep. Tim Ryan (OH-13) proposed legislation to establish an emergency Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill would provide a check between $1,000 and $6,000 to every American who earned less than $65,000 last year. More than three-quarters of American workers would qualify for this tax relief. Americans most likely to be impacted by the public health crisis – including hourly workers, independent contractors, and gig workers – would get a much-needed emergency boost during this economic downturn.

Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) introduced the bipartisan Modernization Centers of Excellence Program Act, a bill that will establish a program at GSA to facilitate the adoption of modern technology by executive agencies. This is a light touch codification of the CoE program, which will have the following responsibilities upon request by an executive agency:
(1) Modernize information technology and how a customer interacts with an executive agency
