Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), who represents Silicon Valley, is calling for Facebook to remove the doctored video of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi(D-Calif.) that has gone viral on social media.

Tweeting late Tuesday, Khanna said that even "fairly informed" voters are being duped by the video, which is slowed down to make Pelosi appear drunk and incoherent.

Lawmakers who are furious about President Trump's decision to circumvent Congress and sell weapons to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf allies are now searching for a way to thwart the sale.

Experts say legislative options exist despite Trump's move to invoke emergency powers that waive a congressional review period for the deals. But any attempt to block the president faces an uphill battle in a divided Congress.

Still, arms control advocates are hopeful the issue has ignited enough bipartisan outrage for lawmakers to take action.

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) said in an interview that aired Wednesday on "Rising" that Trump administration sanctions on companies like the Chinese telecom giant Huawei are reasonable, citing national security purposes.

"I do think Huawei has dangerous implementation of technology where there's a risk of spying, there's a risk of the Chinese government subsidizing them," Khanna told Hill.TV's Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti.

Silicon Valley Congressman Ro Khanna spoke at a forum in the South Bay this weekend to help unveil key actions that Bay Area cities can take to combat climate change, while touting the importance of the Green New Deal on the region's economy.

Khanna, who represents California's 17th Congressional District on Saturday spoke to a crowd of roughly 100 residents during a Climate Action Leadership Forum hosted by the Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter.

House Democrats on Thursday forced Republicans to vote against their own drug pricing bills by packaging them with measures intended to shore up ObamaCare.

The House passed the package in a 234-183 vote, with Democrats drawing only five Republicans to vote with the majority.

As part of the package, Democrats voted on three bills that would help remove barriers to generic drugs entering the market, and would crack down on tactics that lawmakers say pharmaceutical companies use to tamp down competition and keep prices high.

WASHINGTON ― Call it the gold-plated clutch disk.

The Pentagon paid contractor TransDigm $1,443 for a for a three-inch ring called a "non-vehicular clutch disk" which is used in the C-135 transport aircraft, though it cost the company just $32 to produce, giving it 4,436 percent in excess profit, according to a House Oversight and Government Reform memo released Wednesday.

Attorney General William Barr made "a huge strategic mistake" summarizing the Mueller report, House Oversight Committee member Ro Khanna, D-Calif., said Thursday, adding, "the country wants to hear from Bob Mueller."

He urged the special counsel to testify.

"I really think that's what going to help bring closure to this," Khanna said on "America's Newsroom." "The Justice Department has said he can testify, we want him to testify. I think, frankly, he has more credibility than any of us in Congress, anyone in the media."

Attorney General William Barr is facing calls to resign from Democratic lawmakers who take issue with the way he publicly presented the findings of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into the 2016 election.

The most dramatic call came Wednesday during Barr's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) characterized the attorney general as a liar who served to protect President Donald Trump rather than to impartially analyze the Mueller report.
