Good afternoon. I would like to provide a few updates about recent developments in Congress and share some important information.
Khanna Office #1 at Constituent Service
The Congressional Management Foundation May 30 announced that U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., is a winner for the 2019 Democracy Awards.
Khanna is recognized for excellence in the Constituent Service category, which focuses on how an office interacts with and serves constituents, especially how it utilizes and leverages specific, methodical, and consistent processes for achieving measurable results in constituent service.
Silicon Valley – Today, Rep. Khanna of the oversight committee issued the following statement in response to the announcement from Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III that he was closing his office.
"We need Congress, through our committee work, to continue to aggressively investigate the president and hold him accountable. I believe we should immediately take decisive action to censure him and keep all our options on the table. What President Trump did is wrong and violates the rule of law and our ethical norms."

California is falling behind in addressing the climate crisis.
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), who represents Silicon Valley, is calling for Facebook to remove the doctored video of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi(D-Calif.) that has gone viral on social media.
Tweeting late Tuesday, Khanna said that even "fairly informed" voters are being duped by the video, which is slowed down to make Pelosi appear drunk and incoherent.
Lawmakers who are furious about President Trump's decision to circumvent Congress and sell weapons to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf allies are now searching for a way to thwart the sale.
Experts say legislative options exist despite Trump's move to invoke emergency powers that waive a congressional review period for the deals. But any attempt to block the president faces an uphill battle in a divided Congress.
Still, arms control advocates are hopeful the issue has ignited enough bipartisan outrage for lawmakers to take action.
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) said in an interview that aired Wednesday on "Rising" that Trump administration sanctions on companies like the Chinese telecom giant Huawei are reasonable, citing national security purposes.
"I do think Huawei has dangerous implementation of technology where there's a risk of spying, there's a risk of the Chinese government subsidizing them," Khanna told Hill.TV's Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti.
