The Democratic-held House is taking another stab at ending US support for the Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels.

The House Armed Services Committee voted 31-25 Wednesday to add language to a key defense authorization bill that would ban the Donald Trump administration from using funds to provide the Saudi coalition with logistical support in its war against the Houthis.

George Floyd, Policing, and Race in America

Like so many of you, I am horrified by George Floyd's death, the lack of police accountability, and the long legacy of racial discrimination in our country. Police killings of unarmed Black people are evidence that systemic racism in America is pervasive and necessitates bold, transformative reform.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), member of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), member of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), announced the Protection of Civilians in Military Operations Act, bicameral legislation that would enhance reporting on civilian casualties resulting from U.S. military operations, improve investigations into civilian casualties, and strengthen resources for the Department of Defense (DoD) policies and practices relating to civilian casualty prevention and responses.
