Washington, DC – Today, Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA), Senator Whitehouse (D-RI), Representative DeFazio (D-OR), and Representative Bowman (D-NY) along with over 30 members of the House and Senate sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi and Leader Schumer calling on them to bring windfall profit tax legislation to the floor to stop Big Oil's wartime profiteering and deliver gas price relief for Americans.

Ro Khanna (CA-17) was joined by Representatives Ami Bera (CA-07), Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), and Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL-08) in sending a letter to the administration of Coppell Middle School North in the Coppell Independent School District (CISD) in Coppell, TX responding to a recent video circulating that shows 14-year-old Shaan Pritmani being assaulted in a targeted bullying incident at school.

Inflation is rankling voters, and the conventional wisdom in Washington is that sky high gas prices are a big liability for Congressional Democrats, who are already expected to lose seats in the fast-approaching midterm elections. Republicans have tried to place the blame for higher costs on the Biden Administration's green agenda—never mind that Democrats have struggled to implement those policies—while Democrats, particularly in the administration, tend to blame Russian President Vladimir Putin's ongoing war in Ukraine.

Bay Area Congressman Ro Khanna held a town hall discussion over inflation at an East Bay grocery store to zero in on how it is impacting a working class community.

Khanna, a Democrat who represents California 17th Congressional District, assembled Newark city leaders, store owners and community members to discuss inflation during a townhall at Arteaga's Food Center.
