Washington, DC – Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) issued the following the statement on the Federal Communications Commission's decision to reverse an Obama Administration order that requires Charter Communications to expand service to more households. The directive was part of Charter's agreement in acquiring Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks.

Washington, DC – Representatives Ro Khanna (CA-17) and Beto O'Rourke (TX-16) introduced The No PAC Act today. The bill would prohibit members of Congress and those running for a U.S. House or Senate seat from accepting contributions from a political action committee, other than that of the candidate's. It would also prohibit the establishment of leadership PACs.

Washington, DC – Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) issued the following statement on Speaker Paul Ryan canceling a vote on the bill that would repeal the Affordable Care Act:

"Thank you to all who called my office, who shared their stories on how important health care is to them, and urged Congress to keep the Affordable Care Act. We were listening. I will continue to advocate for improvements on ways people access and pay for health care, including Medicare for all."

Washington, DC – Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) sent a letter today to the Defense Department Inspector General asking for an investigation into the business practices of aerospace company, TransDigm Group. Recent news reports indicate that TransDigm may be operating as a "hidden monopolist" and more information must be made available to the public on the company's business practices.

Washington, DC – Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) issued the following statement on the White House's release of its budget blueprint:

"The budget proposal President Trump released today would underfund national priorities and hurt working families. Investments in public education, research and development, the creative industries, and environmental protections support a vibrant and secure economy. Yet, the White House wants to ignore American values by initiating massive cuts to these programs," said Rep. Khanna. "The strength of our nation is more than just our military might."

Washington, D.C. -- Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) took to the House floor today and introduced legislation that would require the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to provide a score to the Republican's Affordable Care Act replacement bill before it is considered by the House Committees on Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means, or Rules. A publicly available CBO score would indicate how much the replacement proposal actually costs and the number of Americans that are estimated to lose health insurance under the GOP plan.

Washington, DC - Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) issued the following statement on the Republican bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act:

"The Affordable Care Act provides more than 20 million people with health insurance and its protections allow fewer than 10 percent of the population to remain uninsured. However, congressional Republicans plan to halt the progress, including cancelling preventative services and consumer protections covered in the law, freezing Medicaid expansion for low and moderate income families and individuals, and defunding Planned Parenthood.
