Eshoo (CA-18) announced that $1.5 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will be directed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to make critical advancements on the South San Francisco Bay Shoreline Project (Shoreline Project) Phase III.

Washington, D.C. — Today, Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) led a bicameral group of colleagues in introducing the Future of Water Act to amend the Commodity Exchange Act to prohibit futures trading of water or water rights and protect our country's water. Water is a basic human right that must be managed and protected as a public trust resource.

Washington, D.C. — With gas prices skyrocketing in recent days against a backdrop of continued Russian aggression in Eastern Europe, Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) and U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) are introducing the bicameral Big Oil Windfall Profits Tax to curb profiteering by oil companies and provide Americans relief at the gas pump.

This funding, included in the appropriations government funding package, will respond directly to some of the most pressing needs in Santa Clara and Alameda counties.

WASHINGTON — Today, Representatives Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and  Jody Hice (R-Ga.) and Representative Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) introduced legislation, the Chance to Compete Act (H.R. 6967). This bipartisan, bicameral bill improves the federal hiring process by giving agencies the ability to share applicant assessments, allow subject matter experts to serve as interviewers, and move assessments toward focusing on the candidate’s ability to perform the actual job rather than where or if they received their college degree.

Washington, D.C. — Today, on International Sex Worker Rights Day, Reps. Ro Khanna (CA-17), Barbara Lee (CA-13) and Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Ron Wyden (D-OR), reintroduced the SAFE SEX Workers Study Act to direct the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to conduct the first federal study on the impact that a 2018 anti-sex trafficking bill known as SESTA/FOSTA has had on sex workers.
