RELEASE: Bay Area Students Encouraged to Enter ‘Congressional App Challenge’
Washington, DC — Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) is kicking off the annual Congressional App Challenge for students in the 17th Congressional District. High school and middle school students who have an idea for an app are encouraged to apply.
This competition is part of an annual, nationwide event that seeks to foster students’ interest in coding. In the past, mobile apps, web apps, games, and more have been created and submitted by talented young programmers. Students have the chance for their work to be recognized by Rep. Khanna and placed on display in the Capitol Building in Washington, DC.
Applications for the challenge will be accepted from July 26 to November 1, 2017. Students may register in teams of up to four members, two of whom must live or attend school in the 17th Congressional District.
